What is the Huntley Festival Foundation?
The Huntley Festival Foundation is a not for profit organization whose purpose is to create an annual community festival where families, friends, and neighbors come together.
Who is the Huntley Festival Foundation?
The Huntley Festival Foundation is made up entirely of volunteers. There are no paid staff and individuals from local organizations, service groups, businesses, faith groups, and individuals from the community to provide the manpower needed. However, the Huntley Festival Foundation is an independent organization that does not receive funding of tax dollars from the Village of Huntley or other entities.
Funds back into the Community
Several events and activities within the Fest are run by local organizations and non-profits, such as the book sale, pancake breakfast, car show, 5 run, and basket raffles. These groups raise funds at these events and are kept by these groups for their missions.
- Huntley Library Friends Foundation – Book Sale (2006-2019): $25,579
- Kopf Running – 5K (2018-2019): $2,000 to Action for Healthy Kids
- ASAP – Car Show (2013-2019 / 1,545 cars): $43,412
- Huntley Area Lions – Pancake Breakfast (2006-2019): $13,830
The Huntley Park District also holds a basket raffle at Fall Fest which raises funds for their sports programs. The Park District also sold Ice Cream donated by Culvers from 2011-2018. In 2008, Fall Fest purchased a stage for the Park District which is used at Concerts in the Park and at other events on Park District property and elsewhere in the Village.
